๐ŸŠ Grapefruit / Grapefruit Juice ⚠️ High Risk

This is the most extensively studied grapefruit-drug interaction. Grapefruit increases felodipine blood levels by 2-3x, causing excessive blood pressure drop, severe headaches, flushing, and heart palpitations.

How it works

Grapefruit furanocoumarins irreversibly inhibit intestinal CYP3A4, preventing first-pass metabolism of felodipine.

What to do: Completely avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice. The effect lasts 24+ hours after drinking grapefruit juice.
